A majority of Pastor Meyer’s ministry has been spent with Mt. Olive. He has been blessed with a wonderful wife, Beverly, and three great sons. Pastor Meyer attended school at Concordia University – Texas, Valparaiso University in Indiana and Concordia Seminary in St. Louis, MO. In 2009 he received his Doctor of Ministry degree in Family Systems from Concordia Seminary, St. Louis. Pastor Meyer was raised in a loving family and one of his goals is to help the Mt. Olive family experience and live the love of God. One of Pastor’s favorite phrases is, “serving others is the highest calling.” He invites you to join him as you find your avenue of serving those around you.

Karen Keswick, Preschool Director

Karen Keswick has been the Director of Mt. Olive Preschool since the Fall of 2004. She is a graduate of the University of Texas and earned her Master's Degree in Developmental and Adult Education from Southwest Texas State University (now named Texas State). She has worked with children of all ages and in various capacities for most of her adult life including camp director, dropout specialist, and ROPES course facilitator.

One of her greatest joys is sharing Bible stories and songs with the preschool kids.; Her husband and their two sons enjoy gardening, cooking, playing catch and dodge ball in the back yard, playing with their dog, Scooter, and going to the beach.

Susan Kiehnau, Director of Operations

Susan Kiehnau has been a member of Mt. Olive since 2005. She and her husband Michael have three children, Andrew, Eric and Caroline. Susan started working at Mt. Olive in January 2011. She graduated from Mount Holyoke College and Suffolk University Law School. Before her children were born, she practiced law in Massachusetts, Texas, and Virginia. For many years, she has worked in a variety of volunteer positions in the schools, her church, and the community.

Sandra Hatchett, Director of Children's Ministry

Sandra Hatchett joined the Mt. Olive staff in August of 2010. She has served as a volunteer in the children's ministry at Mt. Olive for many years since joining the church in 2001. She was co-Sunday school superintendent for 5 years; she taught Sunday school for seven years and co-directed Vacation Bible School for 4 years. She sings in the choir and enjoys working with the children and families here at Mt. Olive.

Kathleen Thomerson, Director of Music Ministry

Kathleen Thomerson has been Organist and Music Director at Mount Olive since 2004. She has the Master of Music degree from the University of Texas at Austin, with additional musical studies in France, Belgium, Spain, and Switzerland. She received Fellowship and Choirmaster Certificates from the American Guild of Organists. A published composer, she has one hymn included in the new Lutheran Service Book. She and her husband Jamie have three grown children.

Karen Harris, Praise Team Director

Karen Harris has been a member of the Mt. Olive Praise Team since 2006 and has served as the Praise Team Leader since January 2011. She holds a Master of Science in Engineering degree from the University of Texas at Austin, and a Bachelor of Science degree in Geology from Stephen F. Austin University. Her love of music started with violin lessons as a child, and though venturing into other disciplines, which resulted in a rather varied background in education, work experience, and volunteer activities, music has remained an important lifelong passion. She released her first CD “Moved By Faith” in May 2010, a collection of her original Contemporary Christian songs. She and her husband have two children.

Diane Doolittle, Facilitator of Christian Education

Diane Doolittle has been a member of Mt. Olive and the Praise Team since joining the church in 2010. She has worked in churches since 1978, with experience in Youth Ministry, Music, Liturgy and Administrative positions. Diane and her husband Roy Lenoch co-chair Mt. Olive's Outreach Ministry and Diane is currently the Facilitator for Christian Education for Mount Olive. She and Roy are also musicians for the Praise Team at the Late Service at Mount Olive. Diane has three grown sons and 6 grandchildren. She is a graduate of University of Texas with a BFA in Fine Art. She and her husband Roy have a business with real estate investing and marketing real estate education.
