Toddler Class

The Toddlers class is for children who are age 18 months by September 1.  The primary focus of this class is for children to learn to play well with others. Learning how to share toys and take turns are incorporated into daily activities. Teachers work to help children expand their vocabularies through the use of songs and stories and by naming objects and activities throughout the day. Children who are ready for the Toddlers class must no longer be taking bottles, able to sit at a table and feed themselves, and be able to sleep on a cot, if napping.

Toddlers may be enrolled for Monday-Friday, Monday/Wednesday/Friday, or Tuesday/Thursday, on a full-time, part-time, or extended day basis. 

Teacher-child ratios - 1:5 or 2:10

2-Year Old Class

The Two Year-Old class is for children who are age 2 by September 1. Children in the Twos class will begin learning colors and shapes and will work on fine motor skills by coloring, painting, and gluing. Lots of opportunities for pretend and cooperative play, sharing and taking turns are provided throughout the day.  Teachers work with children to expand their vocabularies through the use of songs and stories and by naming objects and activities during the day. Potty training efforts are encouraged in this class.

Twos may be enrolled for Monday-Friday, Monday/Wednesday/Friday, or Tuesday/Thursday, on a full-time, part-time, or extended day basis.

2-Year Old's Class Monthly Tuition Rates

3-Year Old Class & Pre-K Classes

In addition to the academic program for three year-old and Pre-K classes, there will be specialized weekly Creative Movement program taught by a master's level Movement Specialist. These classes will include development of locomotion skills, rhythmic skills, spatial awareness, quality of movement and other physical activities.  Classes are held on Wednesdays, and fees are included in tuition.

THREE YEAR-OLD CLASS
The Three Year-Old Class is for children who are age 3 prior to September 1.  Children will begin learning letters and their sounds and numbers in the Threes class.  Monthly themes will emphasize different topics and seasons with activities, art projects and sometimes snacks fitting with the various themes.

Threes may be enrolled for Monday-Friday, Monday/Wednesday/Friday, or Tuesday/Thursday, on a full-time, part-time, or extended day basis.

3-Year Old's Class Monthly Tuition Rates

PRE-KINDERGARTEN CLASS
The Pre-K Class is for children who are age 4 prior to September 1 and who will be heading to Kindergarten the following school year.  We strongly encourage Pre-K students to attend every day.  Attending 5 days per week helps children become accustomed to daily school attendance.  Also, many classroom projects are started one day and finished the next.  Children who do not attend daily will miss out on some projects and activities.  The Pre-K class will focus on getting students ready academically and socially for Kindergarten.  There will be continued emphasis on letters (upper case) and their sounds and numbers and themed topics.

Mt. Olive Preschool admits children on a space available basis without regard to race, gender, national or ethnic origin or religion.
